Caister Beach Clean up

Great Yarmouth UK

10th May 2026

£0 / £84.00 Raised

The beach clean at Caister plays an important role in protecting our local coastlines and marine life. Plastic waste, fishing debris, and other litter can easily enter the ocean, where it poses a serious threat to wildlife and damages fragile ecosystems. By taking hands on action, we can directly remove harmful pollution before it breaks down into microplastics and spreads further. Donations help cover essential travel costs so that this work can continue consistently, allowing more time to be spent actively removing waste from the environment and supporting healthier, cleaner seas for the future.

Tianyar Coral Reef Restoration Project

Tianyar, North East Bali

18th October 2026

£0 / £1,850.00 Raised

Coral reefs along the North-East coast of Bali have been severely damaged over time due to destructive fishing, pollution, rising ocean temperatures, and unsustainable human activity. Despite Bali attracting millions of tourists each year, the impact of these pressure on marine ecosystems often goes unseen. Coral reefs are vital to ocean health - supporting around 33% of all fish species and acting as breeding grounds for approximately 25% of marine life. Yet today, an estimated 75% of coral reefs worldwide are under threat, with projections suggesting this could rise to 90% by 2030 if no action is taken. WaveWorks is supporting hands-on reef restoration efforts in Bali by contributing to projects that actively build damaged marine environments. This work involves the deployment of artificial reef structures, which create stable surfaces for coral to naturally regrow in areas where it would otherwise struggle to survive. Over time, these structures help restore biodiversity, providing essential habitat for fish and other marine species. The project also works closely with local communities, including fishermen and residents, to support long-term conservation efforts and encourage sustainable practices that project the reef for future generations. Your support helps make this work possible, contributing directly to marine restoration, conservation efforts, and the protection of ocean ecosystems.
